Could an annual Summer party help the financially drained Büttenwarder back on its feet? The neighbor town Klingsiehl has managed to have financial success with their Matjes Week, Horse Market and several folk festivals. What would Büttenwarder have to offer? Major Schönbiehl starts a competition for the best festival idea. And soon thereafter farmer Kurt Brakelmann, his friend-enemy Adsche Tönnsen and farm hand Kuno present their proposals – one worse than the other. Brakelmann’s concept proposes a carnival in Büttenwarder that is different from the other proposals because it is supposed to be in Summer and work without funny elements. To everyone’s surprise, Schönbiehl loves the idea and puts Brakelmann in charge of the Büttenwarder Carnival. But Brakelmann can tell that the major is just trying to trap him. Now the inventive farmer has only one chance: the Büttenwarder carnival has to be a real success!
