Farmer Brakelmann and his friend Adsche are totally broke. The local bar isn’t even letting them keep a tab anymore. They are hopeless. Then suddenly Adsche receives a letter from his aunt in the USA. She is old, sick, all by herself and obviously filthy rich. Immediately, Brakelmann comes up with a plan. Adsche, as her only relative, has to go and visit her and of course, to be her heir. Brakelmann is going to organize Adsche’s flight if he gets part of the inheritance. Adsche is not too excited about this idea and Brakelmann has to work hard to persuade him and make him want to fly. Thanks to clever indescretion on Brakelmann’s part, Adsche’s potential inheritance becomes the talk of the town and Brakelmann is able to collect lots of donations for the flight. Everybody who helps fund Adsche’s flight, is going to get a percentage of the inheritance. There is a gold digger atmosphere in town. Brakelmann’s excitement dies down a little when the people in town decide that Adsche can’t fly by himself. Brakelmann has to join him. „America is so terrible ...somewhere else!“ Brakelmann is about to pass out, since he has never left his beloved Büttenwarder. And now he has to travel so far! Desperately, Brakelmann tries to stop the avalanche that he has started...
